Photoshop-Illustrator Video
Five things I learned from the video:
1) It’s really important to have an established design foundation. Know the project purpose and know about the clients and what they want.
2) You need to make sure you know what the final size of your document will be so you can create a design appropriate to that size.
3) You can download various Plugins into Illustrator that allows you to easily manipulate paths.
4) Gradient blend tools allow you to go from one color into another and blend various colors together to create effects and make pictures look a bit more realistic. You also do not have to make different objects to fill with other colors so blend modes make a smoother picture.
5) With smart objects you can paste an image into a no fill, no stroke bounding box and it will be pasted in the position you want instead of going directly to the middle of the page.

Logo

The above image is (I believe) a stock logo so it is just on the site so that other can purchase it to use for their product. It uses symbols and text to portray its message. At first glance it is unclear about what the logo stands for. However, the image is very appealing to me because of the use of multiple colors and familiar objects. Obviously this logo would be used in correlation with a feminine product such as make-up or clothing.

Live Trace

In Lesson 9 we had to Live Trace one of the images. The whole Live Trace thing was simple enough but I couldn't figure out how to liven the image up. In the following site they show you how to overlay and create some cool tones on an image. Hope it helps!
