• Elements of design exhibited (or not exhibited):
This is an alien dingbat font. I have never liked this type of font mainly because I do not think it should be called a font at all. These are characters not letters. Though this example is artistic I just don’t consider it to be a good typography example.
• Why you feel this item is ineffective:
This does not work as a font in my opinion.
• Who is the target audience?
Nerds? Someone that was doing an alien themed party or even a monster themed party could use this as a border or could use the characters to make an invitation.
GOOD EXAMPLE

• File name for good example:

• Source of example:
My favorite typography site: http://www.dafont.com/treelike.font
• Elements of design exhibited:
I really like this font. It is easily read and incorporates the element it is named after (a tree).
• Why you feel this item is effective:
This font looks very much like wood or even kind of vine like. I feel it is effective because the design elements the creator was trying to achieve were reached. It is a font like looks very much “tree like”.
• Who is the target audience?
The target audience in this case could be someone that is looking for a nature or even a whimsical derived theme.
